Our management team comprises a group of senior consultants who combine a wealth of experience across global banking, capital markets, trade finance, international law, business planning and trade development. They have a proven track-record of supporting cross-border transactions and major projects in emerging markets and have built an extensive network of professional relationships globally.

They are supported by a senior advisory board and work in collaboration with a worldwide network of sector-specialists and industry expertise. For each client engagement, we assemble and supervise a bespoke, multidisciplinary team that is able to provide an integrated, end-to-end solution for all cross-border transactions and major projects.

Rodney Ballard,

Managing Director

With an international career in banking which spans over 40 years, working in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America, Rodney has built a proven-track record advising clients on structured finance and deal optimisation and supporting them to successfully raise financing from a wide variety of sources to support both public and private sector developments. This has included using a variety of mitigants from insurers and government-supported Export Credit Agencies, as well as assisting in negotiations with suppliers and offtakers.

Rodney also set up the Islamic Finance business of one of the largest shariah-compliant banks in the UK, as well as maintaining in-depth knowledge of the ever-complexifying areas of compliance and governance.

Trade Development Director

Michael is a Middle East specialist and is well-known in business circles both in the UK and abroad. Originally working for the Kuwait Shipping Company in the 1970s, Michael has handled many of the major projects working not only with Arab Governments and private sector consignees but also international suppliers and contractors from all over the world.

On returning to the UK, Michael joined the Committee for Middle East Trade as a Director, and then Director General of the Middle East Association, representing 70% of all UK businesses working with the Middle East, alongside his role as the British Government’s advisor on trade with other areas in the Middle East.

Senior Financing Consultant

Hiren holds an M.A. (Economics) and has certification as a Non Executive Director with the Institute of Directors and is a Member of the Institute of Export.

He has experience at senior levels in finance both in Asia and in Europe and retains the role of Senior Advisor to a large group based in the Middle East. He has been a member of the Supervisory Board of a number of European financial institutions and has made a significant contribution to raising large scale finance for companies and developments in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has extensive senior level contacts in a large number of financial institutions throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Stephen Gulson

Senior Financing Consultant

After many years of international experience in corporate lending and finance in a number of global financial centres, Stephen is an accomplished professional with expertise in credit, property and asset finance. Among many current professional activities, Stephen also runs his own consultancy specializing in advising on funding, project and property finance.

He has extensive expertise in Shariah finance and has worked in a senior level in a number of international centres, including in the Middle East and in Asia, and as well as holding a BA (Honours) from London University, he has undertaken numerous post qualification courses in his areas of expertise and has an MBA from the London Business School.

Chris Perrins

Senior Legal Consultant

Chris has over twenty-five years of diverse structured finance experience having worked with the leading investment banks Citibank, Standard Chartered and Mizuho. There, Chris was involved in many landmark projects and innovative structuring solutions across the infrastructure, oil and gas, power, transportation, telecoms and metals and mining sectors in multiple geographies.

He is also qualified solicitor, with a leading law firm background where he represented both borrowers and lenders on a wide range of transactions. He holds degrees in both law and finance in addition associateship with the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
